WHO ARE THESE GUYS TRYING TO KID

I am not an economist. I am a television producer and writer. I have been called a socialist by various fascist members of my own family for at least thirty years. I kind of like that considering the source. However, even though I believe in the redistribution of wealth, why are we, you and me  bailing out the automotive companies with our hard earned money. Shouldn't the people who made the most money off the idiotic decisions and lame management of the big three car companies keep them in business. Who are these guys trying to kid? The oil companies who made trillions off the crappy cars that Detroit turned out should be the ones bailing them out and if not only them how about the insurance companies kicking in their share? I have been in business for almost forty years and if I remember correctly you always keep your biggest customer who provides you with the most revenues in business even if he is a schmuck. So EXXON why don't you step up to the plate and help out your biggest clients? Why not? Peter E

AM I THE ONLY IDIOT

I am not an economist nor am I the socialist people think I am although I like the romantic sound of that. I am a television producer and writer who believes in the redistribution of wealth because I am afraid that if we destroy the middle class values and the middle class we in the "upper' crust will not be able to continue our very privileged life styles. I don't understand what the Republicans are so upset about. Essentially they passed almost the same identical "stimulus" or "bail out" bill but five months ago. Don't the former Dixiecrats, who are now called Republicans want to enjoy the golf courses, country clubs and the finest resorts in the country anymore? Higher taxes will only increase their chances of survival. One only pays higher taxes on income that is earned. If we don't turn the ship around we will not have any income to pay taxes on. Am I the only idiot who thinks this?
